    Here are some ways to extend the service life of micro-pumps:

    First, correct installation

    –  Installation Position  : Ensure that the micro-pump is installed in a smooth, dry position. If the installation surface is not smooth, the pump will vibrate during operation, resulting in loose or damaged internal parts. For the micro-pump with self-priming function, the installation height should meet the requirements of the product manual, to avoid affecting the self-priming capacity due to the installation position is too high, and then damage the pump.

    –  Pipe connection  : When connecting the water inlet and the water outlet pipe, ensure that the pipe and the pump interface are closely matched to avoid water leakage. Use suitable sealing materials, such as rubber seals, and ensure that there is no debris in the pipeline to prevent debris from entering the pump body during the operation of the pump and damaging the impeller or other internal parts.

    1. Reasonable use

    –  Avoid idling  : Before starting the pump, be sure to ensure that there is water in the water inlet to avoid idling the pump. Idling will cause the mechanical parts inside the pump body (such as impeller, shaft seal, etc.) to be damaged by friction heat, because there is no water to cool and lubricate these parts. For example, starting the pump after forgetting to add water to the fish tank after changing the water, or starting the pump when the reservoir of the outdoor fountain is dry, can cause serious damage to the pump.

    –  Control working parameters  : Use according to the rated parameters of the pump, do not let the pump work in excess of the rated head or flow for a long time. If you need to change the working conditions, you should choose the right type of pump. For example, when a higher head is needed, the purpose cannot be narrowly achieved by increasing the working pressure of the pump, and the pump with a higher head should be replaced. Otherwise, the motor overload will cause the winding to overheat, shorten the life of the motor, and also accelerate the wear of components such as the impeller.

     Three, regular maintenance

    –  Cleaning work  : Clean the outside and inside of the pump regularly. For the exterior, dust and dirt should be removed to prevent it from entering the motor or other components to affect heat dissipation. For the interior, especially the filter screen and impeller of the water intake, it is necessary to check and clean regularly. If the pump is used to transport liquids containing impurities, such as pond water, the filter should be cleaned more frequently to prevent clogging. It is generally recommended to check the filter every 1-2 weeks and clean the impeller once a month (if the use environment is harsh, the cycle can be appropriately shortened).

    –  Check and replace seals  : Check pump seals regularly, such as shaft seals and sealing gaskets. If the seal is found to have signs of wear or leakage, it should be replaced in time. Seal damage can lead to liquid leakage, into the motor may damage the motor, but also reduce the efficiency of the pump. In general, it is more appropriate to check the seals every six months to a year.

    –  Lubrication maintenance  : For pumps with mechanical moving parts, such as the impeller shaft, regularly lubricate according to the requirements of the product manual. The right lubricant can reduce friction between components and reduce wear. For example, some small impeller pumps may need to add a small amount of lubricating oil every few months to keep the shaft in good working order.

    –  Check motor performance  : Regularly check the performance of the motor, including measuring the insulation resistance of the motor, checking whether the wiring of the motor is loose. A megohm meter can be used to measure the insulation resistance of the motor to ensure that its insulation performance is good. If the motor is found to have abnormal noise, vibration or heating phenomenon, it should be stopped in time to check, find out the cause and repair. It is generally recommended to carry out a comprehensive performance check on the motor every year.
